The Zuggadoos

Extravagantly polite aliens who turn every thank-you into a gift contest that nobody can afford to lose.

Confirmed

Zuggadoo society runs on competitive generosity: compliments, favours and gifts that each have to top the last one. Accept a present and you owe a bigger one back.

A simple purchase can turn into a full day of ceremony and speeches, with towers of wrapped gifts and an entire village watching to see who will be the most generous.

01

Generosity as a sport

Zuggadoo life revolves around compliments, hospitality and gifts, each one bigger than the one before. Their economy and politics run on these ever-larger exchanges.

“A mere ‘thank you’? How… economical.”

02

Never say thank you

Zamfyr tried to buy one small replacement part. The merchant gave it to him free. Zamfyr politely offered a gift back. Several hours, three speeches and one parade later, he had accidentally promised the Wobblenaut to an entire village.

Signature gag: a Zuggadoo refuses to accept a plain thank-you because it isn't generous enough.

03

Zuggadoos and Quigley

Quigley thinks Zuggadoo customs were made for him: a few lavish compliments and some very generous-looking gestures, and he walks away with whatever he wanted. Quincy knows the culture well enough to tell when his brother has started another scheme.

Homeworld

Native to Tumbaloo's gift markets on the Pendulum Coast. Zibadoo's family runs a stall there.

Development note

Known characters: Zibadoo (Wobblenaut crew). “Zuggadoos” is a working name and may change. Homeworld in development.
