The series
Small crew.
Big universe.
A serious, slightly-too-confident captain and his good-natured alien engineer roam a ridiculous, mysterious galaxy in a ship that never quite flies straight.
Logline
When Captain Zamfyr's brilliant plans go wrong — and they will — his alien best friend Onobo has to fix the ship, the planet and occasionally the universe.
Origin
From “Space Buddies” to Super Space Buds
The series began as bedtime stories called Space Buddies, told by a father to his son. Each night brought a new planet, a new mess and a new rescue. The captain was serious. His friend was hilarious. The ship wobbled.
Those stories are the heart of the show: a friendship where two very different people keep choosing each other, inside a universe big enough for talking rocks and cosmic legends.
Tone
Funny. Mysterious. Sometimes epic.
Super Space Buds is a comedy first, but the universe takes itself seriously even when its heroes don't. Shapeshifter conspiracies, giants with ecosystems on their shoulders and ancient intelligences at the galactic center give every episode a sense of wonder.
It's never preachy and never babyish. Think classic adventure comics meets cinematic animation — family accessible, with jokes and mysteries that land for grown-ups too.
