Quincy is a Qu'ah shapeshifter, and a thoroughly decent one. He usually keeps a recognisable humanoid Qu'ah shape, slate-skinned and long-headed with soft cyan eyes, and he carries a satchel of scrolls that is mostly footnotes.

He knows alien civilisations, languages, biology and galactic history better than any guidebook, which makes him an invaluable third pair of hands on missions where the local etiquette might get someone eaten, married or applauded to death.

He's the Wobblenaut's recurring research crew member: archaeologist, anthropologist, linguist and all-round polymath. When a mission needs a dead language read, a ruin dated or a ritual understood, Quincy gets the call.

In the Season 1 finale it's Quincy who decodes the old star charts and leads the Buds to the Temple of Three Gifts, then spends the rest of the episode explaining that the temple's list was meant literally.

Personality

Patient, precise, quietly funny and almost impossible to fluster. Almost. Surprise him badly enough and even Quincy lets out a short, embarrassed Qu'ah hiss.

With Captain Zamfyr

Zamfyr has spent years suspecting the Qu'ah of everything, so he finds it very hard to trust one standing on his bridge. He listens to Quincy's perfectly accurate explanation, then goes with his own elaborate theory instead.

With Onobo

Onobo and Quincy click immediately. One understands machines, the other understands people, and together they quietly clean up whatever Zamfyr's theory has just broken.

Signature gag

Quincy explains exactly what's going on. Zamfyr dismisses it for a much more dramatic theory. Disaster follows. Quincy and Onobo fix it while Zamfyr insists that was the plan.
