That smirk
Quigley is Quincy's brother: clever, mischievous and allergic to straightforward plans. He usually wears a recognisable humanoid Qu'ah shape with a flashy magenta waistcoat, though his shadow doesn't always agree with the rest of him.
He helps the Buds with genuinely valuable information or a surprising skill, and then causes an enormous problem through a side deal, a 'small' theft or a decision nobody would have made.
He isn't evil. His goals just rarely line up with anyone else's for very long.
Personality
Charming, opportunistic, quick-witted and very hard to stay angry at. When he's caught out, the friendly face slips for a moment, the snout shows, and there's a sharp “Kahh!” before the grin comes back.
With Captain Zamfyr
Zamfyr is sure Quigley is lying. Quigley usually is. The one time he's telling the whole truth, Zamfyr refuses to believe a word of it.
With Onobo
Onobo likes Quigley, counts his tools after every visit, and is usually the one who notices the wrench is missing.
Signature gag
Quigley tells the complete truth and nobody believes him. His most ridiculous inventions, on the other hand, get accepted without a single question.
