Mythic cosmic being
The Gygaplex
A multidimensional being of myth, tied to destruction and renewal — and to the prophecies of the space universe.
MysteryAcross countless worlds, civilizations tell stories of the Gygaplex: a multidimensional being associated with the ending and remaking of things. Within the fictional universe of the show, cultures carve prophecies about it into desert stone and argue about them for millennia.
Is the Gygaplex real? A metaphor? A misunderstanding of something even bigger? The series treats it as a cosmic legend — wonder and mystery, not a message.
Development note
Mythology inside the fictional universe only. Nature and role deliberately undecided.
